The dial was missing
Before I bid on the movement I was able to look at my supplies if there is a dial which fits, important the distance center to center forth wheel and it must be a dial for a hunter case. I had one, an original. This dial gets a ring of German silver which is able to slip friction tight over the edge of the pillar plate and remains in position. A steady pin is driven from the side in the edge of the plate and the German silver ring got a slot. In this way the ring remains in position.
